The pictures on this site are rendered by Heimdall3D itself, from 3D models made by other great people. Here you can see under what licence. Heimdall3D is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, any of the parties named below.

These are CC0 and require no credit. They are listed anyway, because knowing what a render is of is part of being able to judge it.

Models under a commercial licence
These are not public domain. They are used here under terms that permit rendering them, and the 3D data itself is not passed on.
- The woman in the sprite sheet on the Windows Explorer page is
Renderpeople's
rp_sophia_animated_003, from their free collection. Renderpeople's terms allow rendering still images and animations for advertising, and forbid making the 3D data available to third parties. The sheet is a render; the model is not distributed.
What ships inside the plugin
These install onto your machine with Heimdall3D. They are listed for the same reason as the models above.
- The rigged mannequin that plays a motion capture clip is Quaternius's Universal Animation Library 2, CC0 1.0.
- The four environment maps are from Poly Haven, CC0 1.0.
- The twelve presentation floors are from ambientCG and Poly Haven, CC0 1.0.
- Every toolbar and picker glyph is Tabler Icons, MIT.
The libraries compiled into the plugin carry their own notices. Those are reproduced in
THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md, which installs beside the plugin: cgltf, ufbx, OpenEXR
with Imath, Basis Universal, Draco, meshoptimizer, MikkTSpace, stb_image, Zstandard,
libdeflate and OpenJPH.
About the renders
Every image on this site was produced by Heimdall3D's own renderer, same code that draws the thumbnails in Directory Opus and fills the viewer pane. Nothing was retouched, relit by hand, or finished in another program.
